We specialise in the
drainage of sportsfields and golf courses. Large or small schemes using laser controlled
trenchers and a variety of drainage material.
This machine will
introduce small drainage channels under the surface of fine turf areas without disturbing
the surface.
A most affective
method of dealing with compaction, its unique tine action penetrates the ground to a
maximum depth of of 16" (for sportsground model) at the same time heaves the ground
below the surface to break up any hard pan. we can offer all the Vertidrain models from
2.5 metre sportsground down to the pedestrian model. Therefore we can aerate any area from
fairways and football pitches to bowling greens and cricket squares.
We have been offering
this service nearly 15 years. We can offer hollow tining and clearing cores from an
average sized golf course in one day, thereby minimising inconvenience to your members. We
also offer this service to bowling greens, tennis courts, cricket squares or any other
fine turf area. We also have available a Toro Fairway aerator, which enables us to
hollow or solid tine larger areas such as golf fairways, football, hockey and rugby
pitches
For larger areas the
Charterhouse tractor operated overseeder is one of the best. It buries the seed up to
3/4" into the ground. For fine turf areas the pedestrian operated, Ryan Metaway is
one of the few machines that will handle very fine grass seed.
We undertake bulk
topdressing of sports clubs, golf fairways and larger areas with our Charterhouse 5 tonne
tractor model. For bowling, tennis and cricket we use our Turfco Mete-R-Matic machines.
Both machines will cope with a variety of materials, damp or dry.
A unique machine which
uses high pressure jets of water to aerate your fine turf, golf and bowling greens.
Wetting agent can be incorporated. This unique machine
covers a variety of operations, from weed and thatch removal to complete surface removal.
Its ideal for removing clumps of grass from intensively played sports fields leaving a
true level surface. It is also very effective foe removal of saddles that have built up
over the years on cricket tables, not only does it do this without the need for extensive
square reconstruction, but the material removed can be reused as dressing back onto the
wicket. This machine has been used by many Premier division football clubs, for complete
surface removal, which can take less than a day to complete, leaving a surface ready for
reseeding or returfing with no additional surface preparation.
